About the trainer

I have worked in boarding facilities caring for animals since I was 14, then at 19 was promoted to assistant manager of an open play doggie daycare. At 22 I was hired on as a lead manager at a large, upscale boarding and grooming business in Southern Illinois. When a better opportunity opened at a veterinary clinic, I took the position there as Kennel Manager. Shortly after I was given the opportunity to study at Starmark Academy in Texas, where I earned my Master Dog Trainer & Behavior Specialist certificate. Afterwards, I interned with their training and academy departments for 3 months. I also have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from SIUE.

In training, I specialize in obedience, service dog work, trick work, and relationship building. I work with behavior/rehabilitation dogs on a case by case basis. Every dog is worth the effort they need to be a better canine companion. I favor positive based methods, though am a balanced, certified dog trainer and modify my work to what the dog needs in order to learn and succeed.

Any lessons in Illinois are through Benny's Bed & Biscuits / Infinite Pawsibilities in Maryville, IL.

Any lessons within the St. Louis area will be through Stick To It Dog Training.

Known as "Juno", he is my demo and service dog trained in psychiatric alert & response with some tasks in light mobility. He enjoys obedience, tricks, agility, and scentwork. He is full mutt-- rescued in Alabama!

"Radar" most enjoys being close to his humans, practicing scentwork, doing whatever is asked of him, and looking tough while being a big softie. He is highly toy and praise driven, and will play ball for hours! Rescued in Texas!
